Brandon D.
Private tutor in Courtenay, Canada
Education
I received my Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from Queen's University in 2011. After graduating, I continued my study of psychology at George Brown College, where I studied Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Experience
I have tutored psychology statistics on and off for the past 3 years, in addition to some grade 12 high school courses. My experience in tutoring is primarily with first- and second-year psychology undergraduate statistics, including variability, ANOVA, and nonparametric testing. I have taken basic and advanced undergraduate statistics, courses in research methods and design, and completed an undergraduate honours thesis. I enjoy tutoring because statistics is a required course for many undergraduates, and it is often one of the most intimidating courses for psychology majors who are uncomfortable with mathematics. I enjoy demystifying the methods and formulas used in statistics for students and helping them succeed in a subject that may have to continue their studies.
